Very Mixed Feelings!
I have mixed feelings about my experience with JJsHouse. If there was a rating for overall experience and a separate review for the product itself it would be easier and the rating would clearly show where my dissatisfaction lies! On a positive note I will say once the dress actually arrived it can only be described as beautiful, professionally made, great quality and excellent workmanship and made to the exact measurements submitted, so the fit is amazing.Dress itself is fabulous, very pleased with it. We paid for custom fit and expedited delivery. The dress itself would get a 5* rating. Negative comments are due to the uncertainty if I was ever going to receive the item in time. Placed the order 26th Dec 2018, arrived in the UK on the 5th Jan 2019, held in customs for 3 weeks and eventually arrived 2 days before the dress was needed for a special event. JJsHouse stated the delay at customs was blamed on the UK now having stricter inspections and extra paperwork had to be supplied, ummm no, down to a 92% difference in actual price and price declared on the paperwork. The frustration,anxiety and time spent on trying to resolve the issues,trying to find out what was actually happening was a complete nightmare and resulted in many hours of my time. Advised by JJs to chase it up with UK customs to get updates. Impossible task, think I have spoken to every conceivable government body in the UK and still couldn't get any joy! Just had to wait and wait for the item to arrive. I will say the courier company JCEX during the last 2 weeks were giving updates every day, some messages saying just have to wait for local agent, but at least they appeared to to be trying to help and emails always got answered. JJsHouse replied within 24 hours of any communication apart from once when i never got a reply. I do feel the site is misleading as you think you are buying in the UK, transaction processed in Manchester, a UK email address but garment comes from China. Would I recommend this company, yes I would on my overall experience. I did think on reading some of the reviews which appeared after I had purchased ( as most were very positive at the time of purchase), oh what have I done, am I going to get a shoddy garment that wouldn't fit etc or ever receive it, but I am so pleased with the dress the last 3 weeks have been worth it!! My advice is yes order but ensure you don't want the item within a few weeks,( even if website states it will arrive in time!!) leave a few months just in case!!
