RECOMMEND YOU READ MY ADVICE BEFORE ORDERING
I loved the dress I saw online so much that I mistakenly didn’t think, before ordering, to check the Trustpilot reviews. Big mistake! So, follow my advice if you, too, receive a dress that is WAY bigger than your stipulated measurements (by over ten inches…TEN INCHES!!): A UK bank can offer a “chargeback” (refund). So raise a dispute (go to Help section, or call them to initiate it). They will chase the company and obtain your refund - in full. Took 10 days, including my return of the dress to a Birmingham postal address (remember to track the parcel and forward JJ’s House the tracking number and your proof of delivery to their depot - Royal Mail send you an email to confirm delivery). The company were quick to respond throughout my entire transaction, but they denied the proof that there had been no tailoring to my requested measurements, even when faced with photos showing the tape measure reading ten inches too big across the bust and waist. But as soon as the bank got involved, they gave me a return option for a full refund. My advice: Try on the dress before paying in full, if you do want to order. But if you also receive a size 20 dress when you’re a standard size 14, go straight to the bank, get them involved, and you’ll receive a full refund if you can prove they have not provided a dress that has been tailored to your requested measurements. They are offering a service they do not fulfill and then denying responsibility: that’s fraudulent business practice. Please note: there are 24% - a quarter - of us on Trustpilot who have had such issues with the items sent. Their clothes look amazing; the bags and jewellery are lovely too. But this experience sent me into a tailspin - as mother of the groom -and at the end I still had to search for another outfit for weeks, and couldn’t bear to look at this outsize dress I had been sent and felt saddled with for so long. So it is not too late to get a refund, but act quickly with the bank, and do not accept a percentage for your hard earned money. You are being scammed. JJ’s: 2 stars given for resolving the issue to my satisfaction as soon as the bank got involved, for speed of response by email, and for the colour and design of the item being true to the photograph. 3 stars lost for dishonest business practices. I really hope you up your game for all customers in the future. For JJ's: Thank you for your reply. Thank you, you have resolved the issue satisfactorily for me now: Order 7215945334 Further to JJ’s response: The dress was hugely bigger than the expectation from the measurements we had provided, and that you had stated in the label. You stated 40” for the bust…but the bust measured 49”, not 40”. The same for the waist, it was 11.5” bigger than started on the label. This is where the disparity lies, I’m afraid. We did not get it wrong.
