i ordered the elite 30 v2 - mixed bag so far
i ordered the elite 30 v2, i did want to go for the AC50B but with it being a year old and heavily discounted it felt like it was a model that was due to be discontinued soon. it would be really useful of there was a way to see when a product was released and if / when it would be discontinued to improve customer confidence. i spent a lot of time reviewing the different providers and i had decided it was going to be the bluetti or Jackery. i had compared this item to the jackery 500 v2 as they appeared to be similar in size and power outputs, and whilst on paper the jackery was better, but they just choose to go against the grain where small things slowly add up against it * smaller, reduced functionality display screen * no mobile app integration * still over £100 more even when on sale * additional cost for car charger * propriety fittings i think the only real down side to this device is that despite it being a similar size to jackery the battery size is also around 50% ish. If bluetti could improve this on future models i think they really could take a larger slice of the market. The device arrived with 37% charge and didnt take my too long to get it up to 80% before i stopped the charge. Ive only done some light testing with the usb to see if the 140watt output really was fastcharging my phone and no issues with that so far. whilst trying to initially install the mobile app the qr code takes you to another source for the app outside of the google store. I was unable to sign into the app using the google account link, which is what i also done on the website to register and purchase, but was getting a not authorised error. I removed and re-installed the app from the official google play store, but unfortunately the same issue occurred. there was another option to sign in "offline" which just using bluetooth and that worked on both mobile app versions, but im not waiting for a reply to this issue from their community forums. the other issue i experienced was that they have a rewards "my bucks" where i had collected some points which effectively allowed me to use them to get a £20 voucher off the product price, but then I was unable to apply the black friday promotion voucher at the same time. It just feels a bit daft that you are not allowed to effectively use the rewards that you have earned at a time that suits you and makes the reward scheme less rewarding, especially when its possible to see huge discounts throughout the year, i mean why would you pay more unless you were really desperate? i did approach their online support, and that took quite some time to get through to someone, even during their open support window. that entire customer experience wasn't that great and I effectively walked away as trying to get the BF 5% extra discount just wasn't worth the effort. This kind of has me now on the fence because if support is this bad at this point in the process what is it going to be like once i actually have the unit for a few months? So in summary whilst this looks like a great product and currently at a great price there have been 2 real issues right at the start, 1, poor customer care 2, mobile app not working out of the box so as of right now id say 3 out of 5 is where im at, but lets see how it goes over the next few days where ill probably have more of a chance to fully test the device and see if i can get a response to some of the issues experienced so far improved.
