Lack of updates, but worth the wait
I pre-ordered an Iron Man MkV helmet with fully motorized faceplates. The website estimated several months, which passed during covid, and I didn't get many updates. I didn't get much communication throughout the process, and I disputed the charge with PayPal and ultimately got a refund; I've been scammed before, and that six-month window worried me because that's the dispute cutoff. The lack of communication is the only reason I didn't give five stars. Despite being refunded the 50% payment for the pre-order, they sent me an email that my helmet was ready with a link to pay the final half. I sent the full amount, because I had been refunded, and requested they let me know when my helmet shipped. I got it, and I was blown away. It looks awesome, the actions of the plates are awesome, the voice controls are so much fun, and I'm very pleased I didn't lose my helmet. I would have liked a bit more communication about the delays, but JoeToys isn't scamming. I love my helmet, it works just as impressively as was advertised. I understand the fear of being scammed by items that take so long to make and cost so much, but I can attest that they deliver.
