Rapyd are a worst payment gateway service. Avoid it at any cost. We have been their customer since 2022. We started with very low processing rate of .5% which looked attractive at the time. All of sudden from April 2023 we started to notice the charges went up to 1.9% +10p without prior notice. After contacting customer service they sent a generic document which we never signed up to so we agreed to continue as it seemed still competitive. A mega surprise was waiting for us when we saw a charge for over £600 effective at 1st of May without any explanation and its categorised as Monthly Platform fees. We are in the middle of cancelling our service and I would never recommend this payment gateway to anyone. There are far better payment gateway services out there instead if using this fraudulent company who sneaks in charges without prior notice or have to get a written consent. We are also going to report this company to authorities and challenge these unauthorised charges.
