IKEA

They've not improved at all in 30+ years

I haven't been to the Lakeside store for a few years and won't be returning any time soon. Shopping experience itself wasn't too bad, other than the price of the bed we wanted jumping up £30 overnight (and it's ME being treated like a criminal! - see below), and for some inexplicable reason had to be ordered via a member of staff and picked up from the collection area, which took ten minutes due to their antiquated, clunky IT systems. After paying, we were subjected to a spot check by a Jobsworth, rummaging through our shopping and treating us like criminals - yes we did bring our own blue bags are you're always reminding us to! We then bought some frozen meatballs from the food shop (where there are no baskets, just huge, filthy plastic trollies) and AGAIN had a 'random' spot check. I don't think I look dodgy BTW, just an honest 67 year old pensioner, no doubt the real criminals don't get caught as that would mean doing some work. I've been shopping at IKEA on & off for around 30 years and have seen no improvement in that time. Disgusting company.
