QIDI

A nightmare of an experience

A nightmare of an experience. No way this is real.. I would like to try to fairly summarize my experience with QIDI tech. I really feel I am obliged to do that to avoid that customers fall in the same trap. I try to be as balanced as possible. The experience is about a QIDI MAX3 which is from January 2026. The machine had various problems early on: -Disconnections to the software - Hotbed which is coming down like from ghost hand - clogging of the hotend - software crashes and also ramming of hotend into the hotbed - very very poor adhesion - lost screw which later showed as a broken rod (one of the four which hold the hotbed The communication with the company (as the machine was outside of the 30 days is still ongoing as of today and is ongoing for 4 weeks. Besides the matter that MANY of these issues are not really resolved, all the support does is to ask you for videos, fotos, files (all I did, but at some point I felt it is a full time job to give QIDI everything) and the sheer amount of time I had to do troubleshooting and back and forth which makes it a technical job then a real experience so that I requested a replacement unit. Sadly also here QIDI support was not transparent. They later admitted but only after I pushed them that they do not have this machine in stock, thus the reason they were dragging time and dragging me into day long discussions. Then I opened a case through PayPal requesting a full and partial refund. Even getting the return label from them: 1 week of debate! They initially agreed to a partial refund, then said no (to their own proposal) and wanted the machine back for a full refund, now I am again exchanging mails because the so called return label does not even say which parcel company it is for. You really feel this cannot be a legit company tbh. I feel like this is a company out of someone's garage, almost scam. I do not want to accuse them but this experience is unreal. What I can say if you have very limited problems, they will ship you the replacement part if it is something very small, but buyers beware if YOU EVER have more than a simple replacement. Good luck! I will see if I ever see my money back from this company. I really needed to put this experience out there because you really need to be aware what you buy and who you buy it from. you buy cheap you buy twice! I have 1 month full of email communication. Update: After the case has been opened in Paypal, the company now supposingly sent a return label. The label is wrong, the pick up company does not have the case open. another round of discussion and phone calls for a simple package pickup... Still not have a valid pick up for the package and GEL does not know anything about a pickup either. Guys seriously not even the pickup can be arranged correctly.

QIDI

cannot recommend (honest review)

cannot recommend (honest review): We have a QIDI Max 3 from QIDI directly. And it is funny because i now read the experience from another person also on the MAX 3 from a few days ago and i wonder if the MAX3 is not the best machine. I understand many people here have great experiences. I personally cannot share this, although i truly would love to. Here is my experience. It all started with the issue that the machine despite many (and trust me many) attempts to sufficiently correct the auto leveling of this brand new MAX3 did not work because the filament would not stick to the builder plate which comes with the machine (yes the original one!) Search in the internet indicates that that builder plate seems of poor quality / adhesion. I did so many attempts with re-aligning z-value adjustment, paper test etc, long story short, it was replaced with another one which had to be bought extra. Redid everything again, z-value etc. Now at least it somehow sticks but the bed is uneven. the next issue: what happened now is that when you print, the first layers are not perfect and no way to fix that because despite with autoleveling the machine seems just uneven. And when you press the home button it slammed the hot bed and the noozle into the plate. Wonderful!!!. Next issue is that an error message was coming up. I provided al lof this to QIDI. They even instructed me to make a video to do the homing. I told them this slams it into the plate but ok fine if the manufacturer asks you to do a video, so i did and on that video you can see how it slams it into the plate and switched it off. I mean i am requested to damage a new machine upon manufacturer request. Never have I ever experienced something like this. I asked for a refund or an update. I waste personal time (days and more) and money to fix a machin which clearly has issues. The responses were more tests, more pictures etc. For a machine which is less than 2 months old. So respectfully i do not know if these positive experiences are real or all AI generated but i clearly can say i actually have not gotten any solution from QIDI, rather only requests. I feel like i am beta tester for them. Last time I would EVER recommend buying QIDI. Still no solution at hand. Lets see what the next mail with request brings. RESPONSE TO QIDI TECH.response I want to be absolutely clear. I am now for 1 month in communication with your company. You failed to address the issue. Then you offered a partial refund. I agreed, then you changed your mind, send me a return label. Did you even look at the return label? It's just a piece of white paper, does not say which parcel company, the phone number of the parcel company is 0000000. Seriously does this look like you even like a legit return label? I have now requested that your support team confirms that I will actually receive the money back as I lost any trust in your company from all this experience. We also opened a dispute case on PayPal but even that so far no written confirmation that this will be the case. So I have from you a return label which does not look legit, your lack of communication clearly is untrustworthy. And I am in discussion with your company for 1 month! I think by now we exchanged more than 40-50 mails and it is so difficult to receive meaningful or clear responses. Also I understand English may not be the native language of your staff but I can clearly tell when a company is using AI for translation and barely understands the customer and I am German. I imagine how this communication would be if I would not be a native English speaker and would speak in German. If I could I would give minus 50 stars at this stage. Again this is personal experience and others if they have no major problem probably will have better experiences but buyers beware if it is more than simple hotend exchange. You will be stuck VERY VERY quickly. Another update: I also talked to Paypal and they advised to not use your return label, as the return needs to go through the official route which is the dispute case. they clearly said if i would have used your return label, i would NOT see my money back. I am not sure you as a company were aware or not, but again i would not have gotten my money back if i would even use your return label. Really I can only say SCAM WARNING (sorry i do not use this lightly). By now i hope to resolve this matter through paypal attaching all your written communication.
