Bittersweet experience
I purchased a wedding dress from JJsHouse in July, needing the dress for August. When I discovered that the dress was not going to arrive by the time I needed it I tried to cancel the order. JJsHouse responded promptly, telling me they could get the dress to me in time, encouraging me to continue with my order, even offering me a 5% discount. I agreed, and was happy when it arrived in the timeframe they promised. However, when I opened the package and tried on the dress, I found it to be poorly sewn. The lace detailing was not symmetrical, and the dress bunched between the arms and chest, making the dress look cheap. I emailed JJsHouse asking for a refund, but was told that I could not receive one because their dresses are competitively priced and they would not make money if they gave me a full refund, however, they would refund me 25% of the dress's value. They also apologized, saying that some of their seamstresses are not very experienced. After I wrote a couple of reviews, I had someone from the company email me, offering me a full refund after I returned the dress. I agreed, and they emailed me again telling me that they would refund me immediately if I revised my reviews, which I thought only fair since my main complaint was not getting a full refund on the dress, and they had now resolved that issue. Although the dress was not what I expected, the company was always very responsive, and went to great lengths to make sure I was satisfied. I am happy that I received a refund, but I am still out the money I spent on expedited shipping, duties and taxes, and return shipping. I have read a lot of great reviews about their dresses, so they must deliver an excellent product most of the time.
