Customer Service Questionable
I placed an order (my 1st ever) with Tomtop on March22, I received an email indicating my order has been shipped out on March23rd with a Tracking Number (I chose Expedited Shipping), this tracking number ended with "HK". This would normally indicate that it was shipped out using Hong Kong Post, but I decided to ask customer service for an answer. They told me Speed Post which is controlled by Singapore Post. I tried tracking my order several times in the next few days but the tracking number was listed as invalid. I contacted customer service again and asked about the issue I was having with the invalid tracking number error, they told me to wait a few more days. I just received an email yesterday March28th from Tomtop stating my order has been shipped with a new tracking number (DHL), this tracking number finally is valid. It would seem Tomtop are trying to convince their customers that their order has been shipped out by providing them with a bogus tracking number, but in reality the order doesn't ship out for another 3-4 days later. I am pretty sure I wont be ordering from this web site again and I don't recommend it to anyone else. Their prices may be really good but the service and level of trust with the company is at best, questionable.
