Misleading Result Leading to Unintended Purchase
A key portion of the EaseUS disk recovery software showed misleading scan result and caused a wrong decision to purchase. The purchase was non-refundable even if I gain no value from the product. Details: I downloaded the software an ran the free scan on the files which got deleted 30mins earlier. The scan result seemed positive: it was able to discover 7G of lost data, which was exactly the total size of the concerned files. Without an actual purchase, I was not able to see the result of the recovery, so I purchased it when the software prompted me to do so. Unfortunately, it turned out the software could not recover the files to original format (instead it is recovered as a few big and non-readable files). The customer service was quick and patient in explaining the situation: it is a limitation of the software that it does not work with SSD. Although a refund is not possible
