Hospitable Flight Crew and Handsome Guide and Accommodating Hotels
I was secretly excited to wear the complimentary Gho upon the welcoming arms of my smiling guide Mr. Sangay Khandu and my driver, but was slightly disappointed to receive a welcoming scarf instead. But I was quickly introduced to a summary of the history of Bhutan as I was led to the over-view of the Paro International Airport just around the corner before taking a quick detour to the town and explore the interesting sights and daily lives of the residents. As I was staying in several hotels over the next days as we explore Paro and Thimphu, my guide was patient and friendly and humorous despite the terrain we encountered and was brought to several places that made me feel like none of my days spent was under-fulfilled. The only drawback was the fact that it was the season of Indian tourists that saw how they treated their tour guides with their unnecessary demands and behavior, but the staff still put up their best smiles and tried to accede to their requests to their best efforts. Definitely a must to revisit this beautiful Kingdom!
