I booked about 7 cruises with them without much of a problem. When they went to this rewards gimmick stuff things changed. They want you to pay money for future discounts. No thanks. Recently I tried booking a cruise with them and got a competitive rate. Asked to pick my own cabin as I have zero interest in a “guaranteed cabin”. They wanted 500 dollars more for the privilege of doing so. No thanks especially since cabin availability was limited. Their price was higher than booking directly with the cruise line. Went with a competitor and paid the same price as the cruise line price and only got 50 dollars onboard credit. Unfortunately, I’ve started to cruise less because these agencies are not offering any discounted pricing and the cruise lines typically will not offer Early Dining unless you book more than a year in advance. iCruise also DOES NOT honor the reduced deposit you get when when booking onboard at the Future Cruise desk. They charge their own deposit upfront negating the benefit of booking onboard and having an agent handle your reservation thereafter. icruise keeps calling me up tellling me I have “credits” with them then proceed to charge me more when I try to book with them. Deceptive business practice.
