JJ's House

JJsHouse are a terrible and dishonest…

JJsHouse are a terrible and dishonest company. They pretend to be based in the UK, but my package arrived from China. I ordered 6 dresses, all made-to-measure. Five of them were perfect, but one - a wedding dress, costing £280 - was terrible. Miles too big, very stiff and a really weird shape. Very poor quality and workmanship. Lumpy skirt, lace cut haphazardly and glued on, bits of thread hanging off, jagged edge mesh all around the hem, cheap materials used, “diamante belt” actually made from cheap plastic flat-back gems (the kind you’d find in a kid’s craft kit). Not representative of the picture on the website at all. Looked like a fancy dress costume, totally unsuitable to get married in. JJsHouse refused to refund me, claimed that refunds were not possible as the dress was custom made. Yet they obviously didn’t make the dress to MY measurements as it was miles too big and the proportions were all off. Refused to acknowledge my comments on the quality issues. Offered me a 40% refund so I could “have it altered” (the best seamstress in the world couldn’t have saved that hot mess). After over a week of sending them progressively more threatening emails, they eventually offered me a refund, but made ME pay to ship the dress back to them. They simply refused to to reply when I asked them to refund me the postage cost. I’ve given them two stars rather than one, only because five of the dresses were lovely and fit perfectly. However, the incident with my wedding dress was so bad that I’d never, ever use or trust this company again.
