[RESOLVED] Tried to save time, got ripped off...
UPDATE: ------------------------------- After many email exchanges and a dispute with PayPal, EaseUS has provided a full refund. I was asked to delete this review but for the sake of consumer awareness this update is more appropriate. EaseUS Todo Backup Home 11.5 did not work for me, due to time constraints abiding by EaseUS's refund policy particularly #8. "There are technical difficulties which our support can provide solutions to". Why didn't it work? The computer being cloned was a Lenovo ideapad 100 from 2017. It has only one hard drive bay and a built in discrete TPM. From all the investigating I did the only issue I could find was an incorrectly copied EFI System Partition, meaning no boot sector and no MBR. How did I fix it? I used a different program to clone the disk partitions then used EasyRE to save some time correcting standard boot issues with Win 10. Could EaseUS correct this issue if I gave them a chance? Probably, but it would require a separate working PC with the facility to plug both the Source and Target disk drives into it. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, but since I did get my money back I will change my rating from 1 to 2 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: ------------------------------- Was attempting to clone a HDD to a SSD as an upgrade in a Lenovo laptop. EaseUS Todo Backup Home was the top search result and even had a tutorial with guess what "How to Move OS and Clone HDD to SSD in Lenovo Laptop...". Epic fail and 6 hours wasted, there was so much missing and wrong with the clone there was no way in hell it would work! The Lenovo laptop I worked on only had 1 drive bay the only way to get this SSD to work was to take both the HDD and the SSD and manually correct the partitions on another PC then shell out another $30 for EasyRE to fix the boot issues. When I asked for a refund because their product did not meet the advertised claims and that I followed their very own tutorial to the letter I was denied, on the grounds I did not let their "technician" help me after I had already fixed things myself. Basically their "refund policy", if you can call it that, is no refunds. Tried to save time, got ripped off... Avoid this company!
