Poor customer service
The only good thing about cheaptickets.sg is their relatively lower price (if you don't plan to make ANY changes or cancellation, that is). Even getting them to do a minor change is such a hassle. Customer service is poor, always taking the easy way out by saying this and that can't be done. E.g. 1) Once, I couldn't make payment using credit card/debit card and cheaptickets had redirected me to a Payment Failed page time and again after keying my OTP from the bank. I tried multiple payment methods by the way. So I both emailed and called cheaptickets. Some background story: It was only on their website that I couldn't make payment that day, I had also previously made successful bookings with cheaptickets the day before, I did not burst my credit limit, and I had already keyed in my OTP to make payment before being brought to the Failed Payment page time and again. All cheaptickets could tell me was please key in the correct details, don't mix up the 0 for the O, book directly on their website and not others (I mean seriously what kind of advice is this???), check if all spaces are omited, etc. In the end, they weren't willing to look into it, I just had to book directly with the Airlines even though it was slightly more expensive. 2) Once, I had a call agent hung up on me coz he couldn't answer my query about a particular booking I've made. Pure rude. The whole time before that, the call agent just kept saying "sorry there's nothing we can do about this". To this, I again had no choice but to call the Airlines myself. Thankfully the Airlines was able to help, even though they told me I should have gone through my travel agent, i.e. cheaptickets. Well I did, and was denied help by cheaptickets. What is a travel agent for? In the end I had to beg the Airlines myself. More bad experiences with cheaptickets than good ones. P.S. Just a side note, though this doesn't affect the validity of the air ticket, I didn't like the fact that any female passenger booked on a flight will appear as "Mrs" as default.
