Agoda for Bangkok were good for a long time, I always found them reliable. However, lately things have changed. For one thing the star rating system is now totally absurd. A $15 dorm room in Kao San Road is currently listed as "Five Star Deluxe" - along with dozens of other three star dumps and even four stars places which I know well and are not even remotely five star. It's therefore impossible to do basic searches that mean anything. Moreover the hotels I use have recently not honored Agoda bookings, although the company did refund honorably. Hmm, makes of this what you will.
