Taking them to court to get our money back
We are also experiencing inexcusable quality and a lack of accountability from 1800 Accountants. They have refused our request for a refund when the return they prepared was faulty and we had to catch all of the issues. We had the absolutely worst experience trying to get them to prepare our tax return. It had errors in it that would have cost us thousands. We requested a live call numerous times and had to chase them down to talk live. They were thoroughly unprofessional and had no explanation for the errors they made. We are now taking them to small claims court, filing a complaint with the New York State Attorney General for deceptive business practices and filing a complaint with the accountancy board. I feel like my family was just robbed of almost $5,000 and we got nothing for it but this horrible experience.
