Dhgate never again
Very disappointing experience with DHgate – seller exploited the system and DHgate refused my refund I ordered an item on DHgate that was supposed to arrive within around four weeks. The seller had almost four weeks to ship it, but the item was not actually shipped within that period. Instead, the seller marked the order as “shipped” before the deadline and entered a tracking number. However, the tracking information clearly showed that the package had not actually been handed over to the carrier until much later. In my view, this was done to prevent me from cancelling the order after the shipping deadline had passed. As a result, instead of receiving the order within the expected four weeks, I had to wait around six weeks in total. I contacted DHgate support and explained the situation, including the tracking information. However, DHgate simply rejected my refund request without giving me any meaningful explanation or justification. The support chat was then closed, leaving me with no proper resolution. The seller's only response was simply: “No refund.” I also do not want the item anymore because it appears to be a counterfeit branded product. What is most disappointing is that DHgate appears to accept the seller's behaviour and released the payment to the seller despite the evidence I provided. I expected DHgate to investigate the actual shipping date and protect the buyer, but instead my complaint was rejected without a proper explanation. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend being very careful when ordering from DHgate.
