QIDI

for a tech company they are not very technical

I have a Qidi Plus 4 which had a litany of issues which were eventually resolved. My issue now is that with the release of the Qidi Max 4 I would like to purchase one but when you go to their website they will start the order then advise that it is currently impossible to ship a Max 4 To my location... Now that's fine, the problem starts when they start emailing me telling me I have left items in my basket and can "checkout now" (yes items that they REFUSE to ship to me) and then I am almost weekly receiving emails on why i need to buy a Max 4 to rub salt in the wounds they keep trying to get me to buy one of their machines but yet refuse to ship one to me... and then in those emails you are advised "if you have an issue" to email a guy called "Alex" who will help you out, then when you email that address , it bounces back as unknown .... Qidi Get your act together....

ELEGOO

Woefully slow shipping

Woefully slow shipping, slow shipping in todays fast paced world is not a good look, and even worse that woefully slow shipping has no updates in TWO WEEKS, customers could possibly forgive such slow shipping if they were kept informed as to why the shipping is taking so long, for example, if you are cheaping out and sending items via sea freight to save on cost, be honest about it and tell the customer that, they then know why things are taking so long, frustration stems being kept in the dark from not being told what is happening and just being expected to shut up and accept that they will take as long as they like and tell you nothing. They are fast enough to take your money, if only they were as fast to provide the goods afterwards... For clarity, Elegoo sent me an unsolicited email asking me to rate them, which I have done with regards to how I feel my buying experience with Elegoo has gone. Edit: Any nice syrup reply about how they are attempting to improve is all well and good, but A doesn't help me in the here and now, & B why should I be the one having to put up with the admittedly negative service for them to admit the need to improve...

Discrimination based on location…

Formbot advertise as shipping worldwide and also advertise as having an EU based warehouse so that EU customers can purchase goods from within the EU without EU customers having to worry about extra VAT and import duty being applied on goods listed as coming from China. This is very nice but the reality is that it is factually a lie. As an EU based customer, I attempted to make an over €1000 purchase listing that I wished to ship the item from their EU warehouse which is listed as being in the CZ upon trying to finalize my purchase I was advised that in their words “The item(s) can't be shipped to Cyprus. Contact Us: (Their sales email address) Now the CZ (Czech Republic) is legally listed as being a part of the EU and also that CY (Cyprus) is also listed as part of the EU. When I contacted the listed email address, I was advised that it was the “policy” of the CZ warehouse to not ship to Cyprus and that they “hoped” this “might” change in the future. They did offer to ship the item direct from China and openly admitted in writing (I have written proof of this) that they would attempt to break the law by in their words “ship from China and list the cost of the goods as a very low value on the invoice” From years of experience Cyprus customs DO NOT EVER follow the invoice amount, they check the website of where the item came from and then charge V.A.T @19% on the cost the website lists, then (Again from experience) they use a sliding scale on the weight of the item and add the average cost of shipping at any arbitrary value that they see fit to add, and there is no recourse to dispute this. So, for being in a location that formbot’s EU warehouse has decided to discriminate against it would costs certain customers around $400 extra for the privilege of being discriminated against. What they should do is to have a notification on there website which advises customers that’s customers in certain locations are unable to be serviced by certain warehouses, but hey if they did that it might impact sales… All in all, a very disappointing buying experience and very enlightening that the company so willingly/quickly offered to attempt to break the law. Caveat Emptor
