⚠️ THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THROUGH…
⚠️ THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THROUGH AGODA — AVOIDABLE STRESS, EXTRA COSTS, AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY! My experience with Agoda has been extremely disappointing, and I strongly urge other travellers to think twice before trusting this platform with their bookings. We booked 2 Premium Villas for 5 adults and 2 children and paid the amount displayed during the booking process. However, when the booking was received, it showed occupancy for only 4 people. When I contacted Agoda's customer service, I was told that their system was down and asked to call back later. I did exactly that, only to be told that the booking had been made for just 4 people. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I had consciously entered the children's ages during the booking process, and the information was visible until the check-in date, when it suddenly disappeared. Yet, instead of taking responsibility for the discrepancy, Agoda left me to deal with the consequences. The result? I had to pay additional money directly at the resort, despite having already paid the amount reflected during the original booking. A holiday should be about relaxing and spending quality time with family, not dealing with booking discrepancies, unhelpful customer service, and unexpected expenses. Here is what disappointed me most: - Lack of accountability: No meaningful resolution to a problem that arose during the booking process. - Poor customer service: Being asked to call back because of a system issue, only to receive no satisfactory solution later. - Unexpected additional costs: Having to pay more at the resort despite paying the amount displayed when booking. - Loss of trust: If the details entered during booking cannot be relied upon, how can customers feel confident using the platform? I paid for a service expecting transparency and reliability. Instead, I was left to sort out the problem myself. MY STRONG ADVICE: THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THROUGH AGODA. Compare prices, verify the guest count directly with the property, and get written confirmation of the total cost before making payment. I would not want another family to experience the same frustration during what should be a memorable holiday. For me, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in Agoda. A booking platform must do more than accept payments — it must stand behind the bookings it confirms.
