Used Expedia to book a property in Rome. However, the property had bed bugs and insects on walls so my wife and I couldn't sleep and left the property early. Contacted Expedia who told me that they would resolve everything for me and get in touch when resolved. A day later, they tell me they can't get hold of property owner and can't refund as a result. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never use them again. No care for customer care or wellbeing.
