DO NOT USE THIS PAYMENT GATEWAY!
I am extremely disappointed with HitPay’s handling of chargebacks. Even after providing full invoice details, delivery proof, clear terms & conditions state in website and client information, HitPay still deducted the disputed amount and charged an additional fee. What shocked me the most is that HitPay did not support the merchant at all, even though I delivered the service as promised. Instead, they sided with the customer’s bank immediately and placed the financial burden entirely on me. I did nothing wrong, yet I was forced into a negative balance and told to “settle it,” or my account would be restricted. This is very unfair to small business owners who rely on payment gateways for honest work. If you run a small business, be aware: HitPay’s system offers zero protection for merchants when customers file false or mistaken chargebacks. You will lose the money AND pay the fees. I can no longer trust HitPay, and I would strongly recommend other business owners to consider platforms with better merchant protection.
