Rather go with a reputable brand like Victron
We purchased one of their solar kits, which included three panels and an MPPT charge controller that is advertised as having over-voltage protection. Unfortunately, that protection clearly did not work. The controller suddenly failed and blew up, releasing black smoke. It was genuinely terrifying to witness, especially in a confined camper space. We followed the system specifications as sold. If the kit cannot safely handle three panels, it should not be marketed and sold as a three-panel system. Safety should never be compromised. To make matters worse, customer service has been extremely poor. We were promised a response within 24 hours, yet we are still waiting — and in the meantime, we have no electricity in our camper. That is not a minor inconvenience; it completely disrupts travel and daily living. At this stage, we are left with unusable equipment and no clear resolution. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend choosing a more established and reliable brand such as Victron Energy.
