Just stay away and save yourself the money and headache
I genuinely have given Renogy so many chances and opportunities to make things right over the years but they always fall short, massively. Their products are just garbage. I have 2 separate 1000w systems with them and have had to replace the components overtime with other brands. I have had 2 charge controllers stop working a Rover100 and a Rover60. Their RenogyOne Core is total joke. The app is designed by a monkey and their support is so bad man. You will get someone overseas who doesn't know anything about solar and just reads a script back to you. Its truly pathetic and I hope this company wakes up or goes broke. If you care at all about your solar system actually doing what its intended to do just stay away. I have invested over $12,000+ in Renogy and regret it heavily. I am slowly swapping out their parts for better brands because I just can't deal with it anymore. Learn from me, and go to somewhere like Victron or another reputable brand - you will pay more initially but you will pay less over time.
Discrace of a company and don't stand by there warranty
So I bought everything I needed before starting my project and wonce finished and now less than two years of use the unit had stopped working, not what I would expect from this after what I paid .
This is a disgrace of a company, I chose to go with renogy as they offer 3 year warranty but when something goes wrong with the unit they do everything not to help , I have been made to send photos and upload videos to YouTube and then also to provide diagrams but I , my system been working fine for 2 years and now the unit has failed, all connections are getting the right no of volts needed and the unit is not responding I'm getting a constant clicking witch I know would be dew to the unit relay . Something gone wrong with the unit and renogy are doing everything not to help or replace there defective unit . I would stay well clear of this company.
Customer service is the worse
Was on my nc500 trip and this ruined my trip
Their equipment is good but after I spent over $2500 with them they wouldn't let me return a brand new never used solar controller without a 4% restocking fee and I would have to pay for shipping.
Reply from Renogy2026-08-23
We’re glad to hear that you’re satisfied with the quality of our equipment, and we’re sorry that our return policy left you disappointed.
Regarding the 4% restocking fee and return shipping, these charges are part of our standard return policy for products that are being returned due to a change of mind or other reasons unrelated to a product defect. The restocking fee helps cover the costs associated with processing, inspecting, and returning products to inventory, while return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility under the applicable return terms.
We understand that this may be frustrating, especially after making a significant purchase with us, and we appreciate your feedback. We’ll continue working to make our return policies clearer and the overall customer experience better.
Renogy stands behind their products and the customer service was top notch. Each email was answered within a few hours, always on the same day and thoroughly. The always acknowledged the issue and in the end, they made it right.
The solar panel, (other than the issue of the wire that kept disconnecting) got us through several off-grid camping expeditions with ease.
Delivery of a new panel with wires securely attached happened within 2 days of them telling me that they were sending it.
I highly recommend this product and company.

We truly appreciate your patience while we resolved the wiring issue and arranged your replacement. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’re grateful to have you as part of the Renogy community. Wishing you many more great off-grid adventures!
Avoid Like The Plague Premium Costs Bottom of the Barrel Service
If you are looking to purchase solar or off-grid power equipment from a company that will actually stand by its product and warranty commitments, look anywhere else. Dealing with Renogy (RNG International, Inc.) has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
When my 12V 200Ah Smart LiFePO4 Battery (Model: RBT200LFP12-BT) suffered a total, unrecoverable internal BMS and Bluetooth failure through zero fault of my own, I expected a straightforward warranty replacement. Instead, I was dragged through weeks of stonewalling, deflection, and endless stall-and-delay tactics by a support team that clearly has no intention of honoring their legal obligations.
The worst part? They actually attempted a fraudulent bait-and-switch: trying to sneakily substitute a lower-tier 100Ah unit to outright strip 50% of the capacity I paid for. When confronted with verified technical isolation logs proving the unit was dead, management completely shut down communication.
Their customer service is a ghost town of empty promises, automated deflections, and bad-faith maneuvers designed to exhaust consumers into giving up. They do not care about quality, safety, or basic business ethics. Save your hard-earned money, avoid this company like the plague, and take your business to brands that actually respect their customers and back up their gear. Formal small claims legal action and statutory violation filings are already underway—do not let them do this to you.
Updated Review 8/17/2026: If you are looking to purchase solar or off-grid power equipment from a company that will actually stand by its product and warranty commitments, my experience is a tale of two extremes. Dealing with Renogy (RNG International, Inc.) initially turned into an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
When my 12V 200Ah Smart LiFePO4 Battery (Model: RBT200LFP12-BT) suffered a total, unrecoverable internal BMS and Bluetooth failure through zero fault of my own, I expected a straightforward warranty replacement. Instead, I was dragged through weeks of stonewalling, deflection, and endless stall-and-delay tactics by a support team that clearly lacked transparency. At one point, I faced frustrating hurdles, including a brief scare over tracking movement and a support loop that felt designed to exhaust consumers into giving up.
However, I want to update this review to reflect how the situation ultimately shifted. Once I was finally directed to the appropriate representatives and supervisors took charge, the entire dynamic changed. Management stepped up, held the company to a standard that was acceptable and reasonable, and made good on their warranty by providing a brand-new, top-of-the-line replacement battery. Furthermore, they assured me that my critical feedback and technical logs were being taken seriously as they review their internal logistics and support policies.
When Renogy's products work, they work great—and in the end, once leadership intervened, their customer service did too. I am pleased with the final outcome, have dismissed my legal filings, and sincerely hope they continue on this path. I just want to see their frontline customer service consistently match the innovation and usefulness of their hardware.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed and candid update. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and delays you experienced throughout the warranty process. We understand how concerning it can be when a critical battery system fails and the resolution does not happen as quickly or smoothly as expected.
We truly appreciate you updating your review and acknowledging the efforts of our management team to step in, address your concerns, and provide a brand-new replacement battery. We’re also grateful that you shared your feedback regarding our frontline support, logistics, and internal processes. Feedback like yours is valuable in helping us identify areas where we need to improve and ensure that the level of service our customers receive is consistent from the beginning of their experience through resolution.
We’re glad we were ultimately able to reach a resolution that met your expectations, and we appreciate your continued trust in Renogy. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to make things right, and we hope your replacement battery continues to perform reliably for many years to come.
I have posted a review before so this is an update. After two months after returning the panel the overseas customer service that emails after 01.00 in the morning always asks me to jump through further hoops before they say they'll issue a refund. They are now asking for a collection receipt for the panel even though they never warned me that they would require one. I have photos with date and time stamps of the collection and they have the tracking of the item as they arranged the collection so they KNOW where it is ans when it arrived. I believe that this customer support is just a customer firewall to slow and discourage people obtaining their consumer law right to a refund. I have lots of future PV panel purchases planned and at the moment Renogy would be my last consideration due to this attitude to their customers

Avoid Renogy — refund process is a complete disaster
I’ve never experienced a company make something as simple as a refund this painful. Renogy failed to return my money through my original payment method multiple times, then failed again through bank transfer, and even managed to fail through PayPal — while trying to pass a $12 fee onto me for their failed refund attempt.
After all of that, they told me the only option left was to send me a cheque, which is slow, inconvenient, and completely unacceptable in 2026.
Every step of this process has been dragged out, confusing, and handled poorly. I’ve had to chase them repeatedly, and each “solution” they offered created a new problem.
Renogy’s finance and support systems are clearly not fit for purpose. If you value your time, sanity, or money, avoid this company. They should have refunded me in June, it is now August.
Reply from Renogy2026-08-23
We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the extended refund process. We understand how disappointing it must have been to wait significantly longer than expected.
Due to the transaction being beyond the allowable six-month period, we were unable to return the funds through the original payment method. We also encountered issues when attempting to process the refund through PayPal, and a check was therefore provided as an alternative method to complete the refund.
We’re truly sorry that the process was more complicated and time-consuming than it should have been. We’re glad that the refund has now been processed, and we appreciate your patience throughout the process. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll continue working to improve our refund procedures and communication
Normally I am a fan of Renogy but this time they have shown their true colours . Defective solar blanket which burnt our boat deck , they admitted it was faulty .. Told to return the product so lugged it all the way home to UK In hand baggage . Got no notice that the courier was coming to pick it up - small faff whilst I sorted it . It has now been sat at the couriers for nearly 3 weeks and Renogy are saying they are still trying to get confirmation that they have it ! It’s on the bloody tracking - I can see where it is ! Yet Renogy still refuse to refund me nearly £300😡😡😡

I ordered 3 x 200W solar panels from Renogy via eBay and soon realised I only needed 2 so I wrote to them and they said no problem return the third.
Due to the size of the package many couriers wouldn't take it or the fee was astronomical so I personally drove to Manchester to their distributor and returned the item boxed and clearly marked.
I took multiple photographs including the man wearing a tabard I handed it too. He refused to give me any sort of reference.
I am now 3 weeks in with messaging Renogy daily. They clearly use foreign agents to answer the massages because they take no note of the previous messages and the respond through the night. They repeatedly ask for a return tracking number which I do not have and which they know already because you don't get one at the distributor. I've sent them the photographs multiple times of the package which is clearly marked AS THEY INSTRUCTED. This is like a scam, despite being a paying customer for the 2 solars I kept. The only option I have is to escalate, I think I have 30 messages saying the same thing so now I am out of pocket for the solar AND the journey to Manchester and back. They will clearly continue until I give up.
Horrendous experience and after service is none existent. Avoid at all costs other solar providers are available!!!

I purchased two batteries via eBay, unfortunately shortly after I was made aware I was going to be made redundant from my job, so decided to return the batteries.
I received pre-paid Royal Mail labels from Renergy via eBay, all good, I thought.
The post office refused the two parcels as they exceeded the maximum weight allowed for the labels provided. This point marks my extended back and forth with Renogy's customer services team and what I assume are their eBay team.
After a couple of days of back and forth messages,I was advised to arrange my own return, I didn't really have an issue as I had decided to return them and it wasn't due to them being faulty or damaged.
Having tried to arrange the return via various different couriers, I gave up as every courier wanted me to confirm that I wasn't sending a restricted item back, this includes batteries. Only specialist courierrs would accept them, the cheapest quote I got from a speciallist courier was £150+ per battery.
What followed was over a week of back and forth emails and eBay messages, requesting information on the packaging, even though it was their original packaging, the weight, my address, if the packaging indicated that there were batteries inside, etc. Several of the messages requested information already provided in previous messages.
Most recently, I was advised that Renogy's logistics partner could collect it if I could confirm I would be happy for the cost to be subtracted from my refund, however no cost was provided, so I asked for the cost advising I wasn't willing to confirm I would pay for the collection without knowing the cost.
More back and forth emails and messages and a couple of days later I finally got a price, £7.50 if I arranged collection my self or an additional £16 if they provided a label, both via DPD, (who from my research wouldn't accept batteries). Requesting clarity, I asked if it was £7.50 + £16 if a label was provided as it wasn't clear and was this price for both batteries or each?
Another reply received stating they would have to find out from the courier. Exasperated, I said I didn't care, just issue the label so I can get rid of these batteries.
What was very disturbing was the reply that asked me to make sure any warning stickers or writing on the box about the contents being batteries was covered up prior to collection.
In the mean time, I received a message via eBay from Renogy stating it would be £15 for them to issue return labels for both batteries. I replied informing them of the emails I had received stating £16 and that my contact with them had been frustrating and confusing.
I have also had a message from eBay stating that If I don't complete the return by 28th July, (two days time) it will be automatically closed.
While the majority of the communication from Renogy has been polite and appologetic, I still have the batteries sat in my front room. The communication has been confusing and very very frustrating and as a company they don't seem to have a coherent and workable returns process.
As my purchase was via a credit card I will be requesting a full refund under section 75 from the credit card company, should this not be resolved.
My experience up to requesting the return was fine and having not used the batteries I can't comment on their performance.
Hopefully I'll receive my labels swiftly, but i'm not holding my breath.

Ordered 200w solar panel, mppt controller and cables on 13/7/26 promptly received confirmation delivery scheduled today 17/7/26 cable and solar bracket arrived but no solar panel phoned Renogy as tracking showed solar panel was delivered, customer service advised that panel would arrive between 11.38am & 14.38pm
Phoned customer service again spoke to an agent called Reden who assured me he would look into it and contact me by 14.45pm as I knew they would be closed until Monday messaged him at 14.46pm no reply.
My first experience with Renogy not a very good one.
Lies and unreliable. I now regret not ordering a Victron System
Renogy customer service a Joke, I will try to get them to pick up parts I have received for a full refund even though the cables have been cut to and routed to suit my motorhome

If I could leave no stars I would!
Their customer support is next to useless, I diagnosed an issue within 20 minutes and it has taken them 2 weeks to admit the issue, going around in circles trying to get out of replacing the part.
I would highly recommend not using them on this basis!!

Bought a small PV 200W panel. It was scratched and damaged in transit. Immediately contacted them to ask to return it. Had nothing but procratsination from customer service department. They seem oblivious of the consumer rights that there is a 14 day cooling off period in the UK if it is an Online purchase!!! Why do they keep asking me to be patient? This has been going on for weeks. I am considering taking this forward legally as they seem unaware of their obligations.

Battery not sent and not informed it was out of stock
I bought a number of items on the 18th June. A solar panel and charge controller arrived in good time in separate shipments, however, a lithium battery did not arrive after two weeks and I was never given an update on it beyond the order confirmation.
When I called up on the 3rd July, I was told that the item was out of stock, despite the item still showing as in stock on their website, with a week's delivery time. I was also told that the item would not be back in stock for another month.
It makes a mockery of the fact that I also paid for their "worry-free purchase" cover.
They do have an opportunity to redeem themselves slightly by recommending an alternative battery that would work with my set up, but I would be very wary about buying another battery from them given that one has already failed to be dispatched.
I cannot comment on how the solar panel or charge controller work yet, as I do not yet have a battery to test the set up with.

Bought their renogy phoenix 1000 and used 3 times before it stopped working. The support is nonexistent and even wires can't be replaced individually. Read reviews and experiences on Reddit. I haven't even commented on those forums so my terrible experience with this company, and now my $800 paperweight, is likely the tip of the iceberg.

I purchase 2 batteries and both won’t charge after 2 years they say they are under warranty but the want me to send in videos so I did and then they resend the same instructions to recharge the battery. I think they are confused because clearly we are past this step and I fell like they really don’t care about the customer after the sale because customer service is poor.
