I have been a customer with Sears/Cinch…
I have been a customer with Sears/Cinch Home Warranty for over 15 years and have only had a few call outs minor service calls during that time. When I relocated from Osceola County to Lake County I decided to stay with the company due to the good service in the past. On August 12, 2026 my air condition unit stopped cooling. I immediately scheduled a service call and promptly paid the $125.00 service fee. On August 13 I received text message from Circa Service FL/Blue Ridge Mt Plumbing assigning a technician; earliest call out will be August 17. Before the technician arrived I called Circa and gave them further details for the unit and also told the rep that my unit is on the roof of the building (I live in a two story apartment complex). I also called the tech and told him the unit is on the roof to which he replied he does not have an extended ladder. He rejected the job which was assigned to another company. I called the company and was also told that they don't have extended ladders. On a follow-up call to Cinch which lasted 55 minutes, Ena was sympathetic but could not find a service company that had an extended ladder so the call was sent to dispatch. She told me they would email me when one was located. However, she could not give me a timeline of when that would be. How can a company that offers a home warranty service have contracts with service agents that do not have extended ladders? This is a hardship running fans 24/7 to cool the apartment. As of the writing of this I am still waiting on the email from Cinch and hoping they can expedite the service call or refund my $125.00.
