Yet Another Fabulous Holiday with A&K
We have just returned from our 4th holiday with A&K - it was fantastic! We travelled to Peru; 2 days in Lima, flight to Cusco, 2 nights in Sacred Valley, 2 nights Aguas Caliente, 2 days exploring Maccu Picchu, luxury train back to Cusco. Then flew to Iquitos for 3 nights on the boat Pure Amazon, exploring the Amazon river & jungle wildlife and local villages. Skiff (with powerful outboard motors) excursions were very educational & exhilarating - 4 excursions each day were available. The food on board was exceptionally nice. We thoroughly recommend the Pure Amazon experience. Throughout our holiday, every A&K employee and the freelance guides organised by A&K were fantastically friendly and knowledgeable. In particular, we would like to thank Pamela (A&K's guardian angel in Cusco) for helping us greatly when our flight back to Lima was cancelled due to fog, which meant we missed our connecting flight (Lima to Iquitos) in turn at risk of missing the Pure Amazon cruise completely. Despite the fact that we had missed the boat's departure (by about 6 hours), Pamela organised with the Pure Amazon people to pick us up from Iquitos airport & still get us to the boat (combination of driving & skiff) by midnight!!! We cannot imagine that any other company would have taken this much effort - **very much appreciated** Amongst the numerous A&K personnel, beside Pamela we would also like to mention & thank: * Sara (A&K guardian angel in Lima) * Mitchell (freelance guide in Lima) * 'Q' (freelance guide in Sacred Valley & Cusco) * Vilma (fabulous freelance guide in Maccu Picchu) * Victor (A&K's naturalist/guide on Pure Amazon) * All of the Pure Amazon crew, in particular the restaurant staff who are so friendly & helpful.
