Angi.com got bad reputation
Thorough Angi.com application for project of demolition and installation new baseboard, we were looking for a professional ,they’re provided our phone number to a carpenter, who contacted us to set up estimate ,which was done in the same day . Carpenter came , gave us estimate of $1600 and asked 50% deposit , it was on July 18th 2026. July 26,2026 we asked carpenter to start the job, he stated that he is not able to come and asked us to hire someone else to do demolition ,after all money we gave him as deposit. My husband offered him that if not able to come ,return our money and quit. Next day carpenter said ,sign my agreement to receive your partially deposit money and $300 to leave him as traveling ,gas , material fee.We asked carpenter for a proof of purchase , he didn’t provide one. He never came for a job,did not do any job for us and kept our money for him himself. His estimate paper didn’t showed any required fee at all. Angi. Com didn’t helped to recover our $ 300.00. That’s is robbery to me. They supposed to be removing this kind of contractor or compensate loss to the customer. What kind of policy they have?Promote us a thief? From now on we never going to use Angi. Com site ever. We do not trust them anymore!
