Apple's billing ecosystem is incredibly rigid and anti-consumer. My card was declined for a subscription that I had already canceled, and the App Store completely blocked me from updating my completely free applications. They do not accept international or business cards cleanly, and they hold security patches and basic phone tools hostage unless you tie a brand-new bank account to their system. You buy an expensive premium phone only to be forced into a broken banking relationship just to use free software. I am completely fed up and switching to Android, where a failed subscription simply pauses that specific service instead of locking your entire device down.
