This is a horrible company
This is a horrible company, I arranged to drop off my belongings at the warehouse, i arrive and the office is locked, no one working in the admin area, ( weekday at 10 am) i finally find a worker in the warehouse driving a forklift, he confirms he is the only employee at that location. Smh!!! Dont buy the 16.00 dollar locks, they are trash!! Bring your own! While im there, forklift driver leaves for a few hours, trucks start arriving, 6 trucks waiting to offload and no one is there to recieve them. Things start looking grim. They will give you a bottom end quote to get you loaded up then the add on's start coming. Such as if you have a gravel driveway you will be charged 25.00 additional dollars at delivery, states on website that if you are within 50 miles its considered a local delivery and delivery will take 3 to 5 business days, unless its a rural delivery, mine was 47 miles from the warehouse but PODS classified it as a long distance delivery ( extra fees once again) that pushed the delivery from 3 to 5 days to 3 weeks!! The day of delivery shows up, I get a delivery window of 11:30 - 2:30, call at 2:35, delivery pushed back, then pushed back again, then again, it is now 6:47 pm and pods assured me the driver was on his way to pick up my container at the warehouse and would be delivered by 7 pm........... on the way to pick up my container now but assures me they will arrive in 15 minutes. The only time you will speak to an American agent is when you order your service, after that you will speak to an agent overseas. I never had access to my online account to check statuses, I called three separate times to resolve this, I was told I would have access AFTER my delivery. The representatives told me they could not add information to the account after it is created, only confirm information. PODS will never initiate contact to update you of any issues, you have to call to get updates, they will only email you. So now after taking an entire day off work I am looking at a possible delivery time of 9 pm at the earliest. This company is a joke, never again! There are other companies providing similar services, I would look elsewhere. Great concept, horrible execution. I will update tomorrow.
