14 unauthorised charges totalling $1,588 I have never used AKOOL, never created an account with them, and had never even heard of the company before this happened. On 27 August, my credit card was hit with 14 separate AKOOL.COM transactions in a single morning, totalling $1,588. The transactions appear on my statement as AKOOL.COM, Palo Alto, CA. Every single one was unauthorised. I have had to report the transactions as fraud and deal with my card issuer as a result. Whether somebody was able to use stolen card details to purchase large amounts of AKOOL services, or there is some other problem with their payment controls, I find it extremely concerning that 14 transactions could be processed against the same card in such a short period. AKOOL should investigate how this was allowed to happen and identify the account or accounts that received the services/credits purchased with my card.
