Broke two cases in a matter of months
I’ve had two of these cases for my 12 Mini and both broke within of months. It’s the thin piece right above the charging port. It cracks and inevitably gets bent creating a sharp edge and making it uncomfortable and unusable. The first time it happened, I wrote Bare and sent photos of the issue. They responded in the middle of the night saying it was my negligence despite never having dropped it. Still they would send me a new one if I paid the shipping. So I paid another $10 and got a second case. Two months later, the same exact part is cracked. I didn’t use cases on iPhones for years. This was the first one that felt like it wouldn’t be too bulky and I was on a waitlist for the case for three months before finally getting it. It just feels like such a disappointment. I appreciate the thinness and the feel of the case. I love that it works with MagSafe. But I can’t in good conscience recommend the case if it’s going to break every time. It’s a major design flaw which means these cases are disposable. Good thing they’re compostable.
