Refusing to refund stolen item
Order 8000069867 I ordered a £700 item. I was out for the day so I put for dpd to leave in enclosed porch as a safe place. The photo shows Dpd left it with the door wide open and the parcel with stolen. They are not taking responsibility for this and saying I need to go to the police until they refund me. I shouldn’t have to do this. Consumer Rights Act 2015, Section 29(2): “The goods remain at the trader’s risk until they come into the physical possession of— (a) the consumer, or (b) a person identified by the consumer to take possession of the goods.” It should be up to them to claim with DPD. It’s not a legal requirement to require a police claim to refund someone. It’s insane. I will be taking this further if I am not refunded for my item. It is the companies responsibility to fix this. Not mine.
