Drive lah

I use a Toyota Camry less than 4h cost me $111.2

2022.04.10 Reply to Drive Lah, no conversation at all from your team and you drag my deposit more than a week, and when I start to follow up after few weeks, you deducted my deposit and return me the rests without any notice. That's how Drive Lah team resolve issue. LOL. bandit brand. Highly Recommend those has same experience report this issue to CASE and Police. 2022.03.20 I wish there were a 0 star! That's the worst experience ever renting a car in Singapore After an inexplicable amount of time and sending my driver's license to customer service THREE times!!! I was finally able to book a trip on Drive Lah. I was so excited to start my first trip. But I didn't know that was just the beginning of a nightmare. Here is the Story: Because I needed to pick up someone, I booked a 2-hour car @$15.6/2hours, which cost a total of SGD$18.2. When I picked up the car, the owner told me that I could return the car later, as long as it was returned before his next customer came, and then I could add 95 gasoline if I had time. So I took some more time to pack a dinner and drove 3 hours and a bit more. The total distance I drove was less than 45km (just from the JE side to NAFA and go Bishan dabao, then drop someone at JE and then go back to return the car). So I added 3L of gasoline before returning the car. I think this is more than enough for a Camry, 3L of gasoline for the distance I drove today. Unexpectedly, when I returned the car, the owner said that i didn't pump a full tank. (Too bad there is no reminder to take a photo of the mileage by Drivelah nor the owner). Later he sent me a petrol bill of $25.92 for 98 gasoline and asked me to transfer. I refused it on the spot because first of all, this car does not need to add 98 gasoline, and the owner informed me that his car pumped for 95, not 98, and thirdly i won't pay any amount that is not under my trip. So I tell the owner I can pay for another 2L at a maximum. And he said he was not accepting that and raised a dispute to Drive Lah. For me, I know that I drive up to 50km on the day, the 5L gasoline can completely cover the amount I use. a few days later, I still didn't receive any reply from the Drivelah team, so I went and ask them how should we solve this and when can refund my deposit. If I didn't maybe they won't plan to refund my deposit... After a FEW WEEKS! And countless times communication with the customer service of drive lah, (they were on the same side with the car owner, the car owner was actually a car shop, and there were many cars, so there is no reason to protect their customer.) the customer service kept saying that there would a team looking for me to solve this problem, (here I just don't complain more of the robot reply and No Empathy at all from the customer service, is not helpful at all on dispute solving.) After two-week waiting, no one from drive lah came to me and didn't pay back my deposit $250 still. Then just today, my bank received a $172 refund from drive lah! $78 has been deducted! DAMN! My total bill for using a Camry for 4hrs costs me 18.2(original invoice)+15(i pumped)+78(deduction of the deposit)=$111.2. There is still nobody contacting me even they have already finished the deduction! That's how they solve a dispute!!!LOL!!! Also, there is no invoice or breakdown provided! I felt I this just been robbed by them!!! My purpose in using this platform was to get myself more convenience at a lower cost compared to a taxi or other rental company. But I ended up using a Camry for less than 4 hours, cost me $111.2, just picked up someone, packed a dinner, was forced to deduct the deposit without any notice nor dispute solution from the drive lah team. That's ridiculous! I would say I won't use this again. If you really want to have a try, Do take a photo for the mileage and keep it with you until you get back your deposit. And when this come to you, on the spot you can report this issue to CASE too for them to record it. Also just a gentle reminding for those who looking for a short trip in Singapore better just to take a taxi even it's in peak hour. Maybe this is more friendly for a long term rentals. Because nobody from drive lah will stand out for us to resolve the petrol dispute, and not all customer is sensitive on car consumption. So they don't know the full tank sometimes doesn't mean the FULL TANK. Or even they know, they can't do anything about it.
