Disc Makers

OK but not great.

I’ve always given Disc Makers five stars on every project they’ve done for me—and they’ve handled 11 albums over the years. They’ve consistently been great to work with. This was my first USB project, though, and I do wish there had been a bit more guidance on the final product. I wasn’t aware that including videos would require formatting the USB as exFAT, which doesn’t play in all vehicle systems. As a result, some of my customers weren’t able to play the music in their cars. When I reached out, the explanation was that the format was necessary because of the videos, and there wasn’t much that could be done after the fact. I completely understand that—but I do wish I had known this upfront so I could have made a more informed decision. That said, I take some responsibility as well—maybe I should have asked more questions about USB formats. Still, I had hoped for a bit more guidance going into it. Overall, they were excellent from start to finish on the project aside from this issue, and I will absolutely continue working with them. To help my customers, I’m now producing a second USB myself on my own computer with just the music in FAT32 format so it will play in any vehicle and eliminate any issues.
