"Original train company Vs Rail Ninja" prices
For a train trip in Norway, I checked "Vy" (official train company running the trains) and Rail Ninja for price comparison. 150€ on "Vy" and 262€ on Rail ninja. "Vy" says they can't guarantee a seat and Rail Ninja says "seat reservation with ticket booking". Because I want to be sure to have a seat, I choose Rail Ninja. After payment, I received tickets booked by Rail Ninja on "Vy's" website stating "Free seating" and no seat reservation... Out of curiosity, since booking on "Vy" is fully refundable, I book also with them for 150€. I get the EXACT SAME tickets mentionning "Free seating". So I cancel my trip with Rail Ninja and get only 194€ back (68€ of booking fees??????? (automated tasks by a computer) are not refundable). So basically, buying directly from the train company actually operating the train was 43% less expensive!!! What is Rail Ninja added value in there? Answer: ZERO I gave two stars because the booking is simple and fast but I feel it really deserves one star only.
