Good products, bad service
I was in the market for a super-small but functional laptop and purchased a Minibook X. The product itself is good. Not great, but good. It is a tech tweaker's paradise and can be made into an astounding device. I have no real problems with Chuwi as a brand, either. Chuwi don't make any products; they buy from ODM (device wholesalers), implement a few changes from the catalogued product, then sell it on to us. This is fine, except sometimes, corners have been cut and/or it is possible to find a similar or better product from another brand. But my problem is with Chuwi's service. It took 8 days after payment for the product to be dispatched. They sent through a shipment notification, in as much to say the label has been generated, but the product did not leave Chuwi's warehouse for 8 days. On the 7th day, I emailed customer services for an update; that was 5 days ago, and though I got an instant autoresponder, I'm still waiting for any human to come back. So if Chuwi cannot reply to a simple shipment query, do not expect ANY kind of support or warranty whatsoever. You buy this product effectively "as is" and if it breaks, well, tough.
