AC coupled battery system, decent hardware, atrocious software and support
I have an AC coupled battery system, SPA3000 with 2 x 3.3kWhr batteries. Hardware seems nicely built, too new to comment on reliability. Getting the WiFi dongle to connect was a pain and required a firmware update before it would. No information about this available anywhere. Programming it via the PC based software is very flakey. It looks nice but the software is buggy and many times the values I have entered are corrupted. It requires multiple attempts to get the desired settings to "stick". To make matters worse all operations have to go through the Growatt server, which at times is VERY slow, and sometimes completely inaccessible. They know about the buggy software but have told my supplier they have no plans to fix it. My advice is avoid. I will not buy from this company again.
