I purchased Tesla accessories from Tesery
I purchased Tesla accessories from Tesery for EUR 191.90 after seeing return messaging that presented the process as “30 Tage kostenlose Rückgabe und Umtausch” / “30-day free and easy returns and exchanges”. After receiving the products, I decided they were not suitable for my intended use and contacted Tesery on 9 May 2026 to request a return, which was within the advertised return period. Instead of being provided with a free and easy return process, I was told that I would need to return the goods from Germany to Shenzhen, China at my own cost. The estimated return shipping cost was around EUR 50. What followed was a lengthy email exchange over several weeks. I repeatedly asked for a prepaid return label, a reasonable EU/Germany return address, or a refund. Tesery instead made changing partial refund offers, including EUR 100 without return, which was later withdrawn and replaced by lower offers. Tesery then argued that the return period had expired, even though my original return request was submitted within the advertised 30-day window. My concern is not simply that the product did not suit me. My concern is that the return policy and customer-facing messaging create the impression of easy returns, while the actual process for me as an EU customer was not easy, not free, and involved return shipping to China at significant cost. Based on my experience, I would advise against buying from Tesery unless you are 100% sure the product is exactly what you want and that you will not need to return it. In my view, the “free and easy returns” messaging is misleading when the practical return process may require EU customers to arrange and pay for international return shipping to China.
