I purchased 1Password in October 2014, when it represented simplicity, honesty, and privacy. It wasn’t just a password manager. It was an idea I believed in. I had paid for a lifetime license. Now, ten years later, I’m being told that my version is “obsolete” — and that I need to subscribe to continue using it. This is not an update. This is not progress. This is betrayal. You silently turned a “pay once” model into a “pay forever” trap. And you expect those who supported you first to accept it quietly? I didn’t pay for version 6 or 7.
