It’s disappointing to see how platforms claim to support small businesses while filtering or hiding many authentic positive customer experiences, yet prominently displaying a single negative review. We were repeatedly encouraged to purchase advertising, and after declining, it became difficult not to question the visibility of our genuine customer feedback. Transparency should matter for both businesses and consumers. As a business owner, we welcome honest feedback and continuously improve from it. But review platforms should ensure fairness, authenticity, and balanced representation — not create environments where businesses feel pressured into paid advertising to protect their reputation.
