Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People reported consistently negative experiences concerning the business's pricing structure and the performance of the company's official website. Furthermore, there is a general sentiment that the organization provides poor service throughout customer interactions.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the service provided was first-class, noting instances of proficient work in various fields. Some consumers were satisfied with the professionals they interacted with, describing staff members as friendly, professional, and capable of detailing services thoroughly.

Honestly speaking, it's useless to communicate and rationalize with this organization. They talk about filtering reviews with their so-called analytical software which is complete trash. A customer posted a negative review on my business with a simular name but not exact but I got their negative review. Never done business with this customer and furthermore the address wasn't even the same. Only used my name with out checking everything. That review is still on YELP. Tried to fix this and 1 year later it's still on their. Put your money on GOOGLE or somewhere else. Yelp is a dying breed!
Wrong prescription and amount given. Could cause harm even death. Associate Mark refused to help or acknowledge. States that they took pictures so that's final.
Extremely Disappointed With Yelp’s Review Process.
As a small business owner, I am extremely disappointed with Yelp’s handling of a review that I formally reported and explained in detail.
A person visited my business for only a few minutes with a handbag she wanted repaired. I briefly examined the item and politely explained that this type of work was outside the scope of my tailoring services. I recommended that she contact someone specializing in handbags or accessories.
I did not perform any service for this person. I did not accept her item for repair, and she paid me nothing.
Despite this, she later posted a one-star review accusing me of being “incredibly rude” and claiming that I damaged her item during the brief inspection.
I formally reported the review to Yelp and explained the circumstances. Unfortunately, Yelp informed me that after reviewing my report, they decided to leave the review published.
I strongly disagree with that decision.
I fully support a customer’s right to leave an honest negative review when they have genuinely had a bad experience. However, review platforms should also have meaningful safeguards for small businesses when serious and disputed accusations are made, particularly when no service was performed, no transaction occurred, and no payment was made.
Small business owners spend years building their reputations. A serious public accusation can damage that reputation immediately. With the influence Yelp has over local businesses, I believe it has a responsibility to apply its review policies carefully and fairly to both consumers and business owners.
Based on how Yelp handled my report in this case, I do not believe that balance was achieved.
For that reason, I am giving Yelp one star for my experience with its review moderation and dispute process.
The worst platform. As owner, you cant reply the the fake reviews uless owner need to upload the personal phone, while reveiwers can post anything fake.
You cant close the account ,,,from This shit platfrom.
Its like highjacked.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. This guy ripped me off by taking a 50% down payment and then ghosting me. He is still on Yelp, free to rip off everyone else.
Horrible company. Yelp is a corrupt money hungry commercialized company. No actual value goes into it. More people go on it to complain more than say anything positive. Then based on how much companies pour $$ into it, it buries the reviews it wants VS what really matter. Dont get me started on their customer service, because it is nonexistent. Took them 3-4 months to get my company what we barely needed. Emails would be ignored, phones would be on hold for hours with nobody answering. If someone did answer it was never the person who can actually help you. So go figure. So done with them. Nobody should pour money into this stupid company. If people want to leave reviews, they should be natural, just like Google, not shoved or promoted.
I have used the pedicure service form "Wink Lashes Nails" in Gaithersburg, for over a year, and the initial service was moderate, the owner "sweet" talks to provide service, but as time goes by, the service deteriorates in quality, all she is interested is making and charging money, she does NOT let you give a tip, she charges you automatically, the service is poor quality and I recommend caution on this service.
OVER THE YEARS THEY PRETTY MUCH HOUND YOU TO ADVERTISE WITH THEM. They constantly remove legitimate reviews while leaving fake ones. Email you constantly. Then today they took my image off my website to promote their website. The audacity !!Took my image and didn’t even include me in the search or link back to my website. Yelp needs a page on google so everyone can give them the true neg feedback they deserve! You can read true reviews on other platforms about how Yelp does business. Just google search it. I’ve always trusted google over Yelp…
.
Absolutely one of the worst organizations on the web.
The offer a free listing ... then allow or contribute 1 star reviews ... they block any positive reviews until you pay for their service. It is effectively extortion. Pay yelp or they will make you look bad. Absolutely one of the worst organizations on the web. DO NOT CREATE A FREE LISTING! It is a scam.
Yelp has moved one of my first customers review to the “not recommended” category. They said that the software flagged it for some reason and they can’t undo it. She left a positive review and it’s not able to be seen. The high pressure sales tactics for their ad services are ridiculous! They just kept calling. Use Google.
I am writing this review to warn homeowners about my experience with Home Flood Restoration and Aaron Appleby.
My insurance claim did NOT involve a major flood. It involved a bathroom sink overflow lasting approximately 10 minutes. I immediately cleaned up the visible water myself using six to eight bath towels, twice. Home Flood Restoration did not arrive until approximately seven weeks later. There was no emergency water situation when they arrived.
Yet the documentation and invoices described “emergency water evacuation,” “Category 3” conditions, and “after-hours emergency services.” I dispute these descriptions because they do not match what actually happened.
What concerns me most was the extensive destruction of my bathroom and condominium, including removal down to the studs. Based on the original incident and the conditions when they arrived, I do not believe this level of destruction was warranted. It left my home severely damaged and uninhabitable and resulted in substantial additional costs.
I also dispute the invoices and charges as excessive and unsupported by the actual circumstances.
My belongings were handled and stored without my receiving a complete inventory or adequate documentation. They were eventually left unprotected in my garage, where they remain.
We were repeatedly pressured for payment while work remained incomplete and were told work would not continue unless payment was made.
There is another serious issue: an insurance check for $15,900.00 involving Home Flood Restoration was discovered later. Neither my daughter nor I signed that check, authorized anyone to sign for us, or gave permission for anyone to negotiate it on our behalf. I have retained documentation and reported my concerns to the appropriate authorities.
My advice: BE VERY CAREFUL. Before allowing any restoration company into your home, insist on a valid written contract, detailed scope of work, complete inventory, supporting documentation for every charge, and independent verification of every insurance payment.
I would not recommend Home Flood Restoration based on my experience.
Yelp sent me a email saying they were canceling my account as I had done a review on a company they accused if trying to but better reviews. No mention of who that was or that kid was involved but they cancelled me account. I have no idea who is involved in that. They are just unjustly getting rid of people that’s fine. There service is not required as there are alternatives today. I never paid attention to there ratings as they never reflected reality anyway.
I own a small business and have become increasingly frustrated with Yelp and the way its platform treats both businesses and customer reviews.
We have chosen not to pay Yelp for leads or advertising, despite the frequent and aggressive sales efforts encouraging us to do so. At the same time, legitimate reviews from actual customers have repeatedly been moved to the “not recommended” section. Based on the number of customers who have taken the time to review us, our business should have twice the number of visible reviews it currently has.
When I’ve contacted Yelp about this, I’ve been told that their recommendation software determines which reviews are shown and that Yelp representatives cannot override those decisions. Some of the explanations I’ve received for why legitimate reviews may not be recommended make very little sense, especially when I know these are real customers who hired and paid our company for actual work.
What is especially frustrating is that customers may believe a business has removed or hidden their review. Business owners have absolutely no control over which reviews Yelp recommends or does not recommend. We cannot remove a negative review, and we cannot restore a positive review that Yelp’s software has filtered out.
For a small business, reviews matter tremendously. We work hard to earn our reputation and encourage real customers to share their honest experiences. Watching legitimate customer feedback essentially disappear from our visible rating because of a faulty algorithm incredibly discouraging.
My experience with Yelp’s customer service has also been dismissive and unhelpful when trying to address these concerns. Rather than feeling like Yelp is a platform that helps small businesses build their reputation, my experience has left me feeling that it can actually be detrimental to small businesses trying to grow organically.
I wish Yelp would provide greater transparency and accountability around its review recommendation system, particularly when legitimate customers and legitimate businesses are the ones affected.
Aggressive Yelp employees. Fake reviews allowed. Real reviews blocked.
Yelp employees are very aggressive with their sales tactics. I've had good customers leave positive reviews on Yelp and they never showed up. Whereas, non-customers have left reviews and Yelp had no problem leaving up their fake post. I think it speaks volumes that Yelp rates below two stars on Trust Pilot. Go figure.
Playtex 4159 wire free tag less Active Breathable Comfort cooling bra.
Don't buy this bra it's the WORST bra I've ever worn! That's why it was so cheap.
Band and straps are too tight, doesn't hold up my breasts. Bra material looks like it's doubled?
I would like my $150.00 back.
Just recently I had posted my negative review for the business which was removed by Yelp as inappropriate (or something like that) with no explanation whatsoever. Obviously, the business reviewed by me is a paying Yelp customer, otherwise why would they "help" a bad business with their reviews. Yelp is as shady as they come. People's trust huh?
One of the most shady, unethical companies out there. Before signing up:
1. Make sure you know exactly how to cancel
2. DEFINITELY ask what your total monthly cost is going to be (they're going to dance around the question)
3. Beware of that sales team that sales team that randomly calls and tries to get you to drastically increase your ad spend.
4. Ask about the difference between a credit and a bonus. They will make it sound like they're offering you an upfront credit
5. Just don't waste your time with them
