Disappointed in the product. More disappointed in the customer service…
We’ve been big fans of Our Place for years. At this point, we own around ten pieces, and I had just purchased the Titanium Always Pan Pro and Titanium Perfect Pot Pro because I wanted to keep buying from the brand. Unfortunately, our original Perfect Pot, purchased in June 2023, developed two spots where the ceramic coating chipped through after about three years. This wasn’t a pot that had been abused. It was hand washed, used only with wooden utensils, and generally babied. I reached out to customer service hoping they would stand behind the product. They acknowledged the issue but declined to help because my purchase fell outside the one-year warranty that existed at the time. Their solution was a $30 credit toward buying another $150 Perfect Pot. What makes this especially frustrating is that Our Place now offers a three-year warranty on this category of cookware. I understand policies change, but it’s hard not to feel like loyal customers who bought just before that change were left behind. What disappointed me most wasn’t the pot. Ceramic coatings don’t last forever. It was how little our loyalty seemed to matter. After purchasing around ten pieces over the years, I expected a more meaningful goodwill gesture than 20% off another purchase. I also looked for a way to leave a review on Our Place’s website as a verified customer and couldn’t find one, which is why I’m sharing my experience here instead. I wasn’t expecting a lifetime warranty. I was expecting a premium product to last longer than three years with careful use, and a company that would stand behind a longtime when it didn’t.
