Agoda is fine until you need support - automated loops, useless CS, and hidden facts
Agoda is fine if your trip goes smoothly and you never need to contact them. But the moment something goes wrong, oh boy—good luck. Getting through to a real person is an absolute nightmare. You are forced through endless automated bot loops that keep deflecting your issue. When you finally reach a human agent, they have zero power to help or resolve anything. In my case, Agoda’s listing completely omitted that the property had shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. When I requested a refund for this misleading information, their CS team capped my refund at 50%, falsely claiming the hotel partner refused a waiver. When I messaged the hotel directly, they were responsive, cooperative, and stated they were fully willing to approve the waiver! Agoda’s support system is designed to waste your time with automated walls and generic templates while deflecting blame to hold onto your money. Extremely disappointing experience.
