Aventon's demeanor towards customers is best summed up by 'We will give you what we want you to have. and by the way, our stuff will be proprietary so you can't go anywhere else for parts.' I, along with a lot of other folks just want to replace our Level 1 display with a B/W M5, inexpensive and simple to use. Instead, they offer a replacement display that is 3x as expensive and requires a cell phone app for the same functionality. So riders have juggle two display interfaces as they try to cycle safely. Seems their willingness to stand behind their product during its useful life is not a priority. Can safely say that our future ebikes will not come from them until they change their practices. There are too many other options that are just fine, more inexpensive, easier to get replacement parts and easier to maintain.
