Everything was good except the tour guide
Bhutan is a lovely place with unique culture. The people here are warm, the environment is comfortable and the sceneries are beautiful. It is amazing to see how the people here could drive on the road without any traffic lights, and yet there is no impatient, reckless or angry drivers. This tells so much about the attitude and behaviour of the people. We truly love this place very much and this trip gives us so many fond memories. Accommodation wise, the hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, and with good views. However, the locations of the hotels were far from town. Once checked-in, there was nowhere we could stroll around outside the hotels. The tour coordinator who we liaised with (Sonam Younten) was excellent. He was responsive and helpful, always gave clear and useful advices. He was understanding and always tried his best to fulfill our requests. He would explain clearly if any of our requests could not be met. The driver (unfortunately we didn't note down his name) was polite and helpful, always ready to serve with a big and warm smile. Unfortunately, we were unlucky to be assigned with a disappointing tour guide. Our tour guide (Kinzang Cheku) was unprofessional, irresponsible, unreliable, unhelpful, poor working attitude and full of lies and empty promises. Worst of all, he was late for almost 30 mins on the last day when we have to catch our flight to return home. We called him several times but there was no answer, leaving us panic at the hotel lobby. We would definitely recommend our families and friends to visit Bhutan but never accept Kinzang Cheku to be their tour guide.
