I booked a property with Natural Retreats. It stated that there was a NO CANCELLATION policy, so non-refundable the day I signed the contract and paid in full. Shortly before we were to stay at the property, I received a phone call from this company saying there was a mistake with the booking and THEY needed to cancel. They offered 1 alternate place which was NOT as comparable or suitable. The only other choice we had was to allow THEM to cancel so we could get a full refund..without penalty..which made me laugh out loud! :(:( I guess the non-cancellation policy only pertains to the Lessee not the lessor. Because of the very short notice, we had to scramble to find another place. There were very few choices left and it ended up costing us significantly more. Future renters should be aware of the unreliability and untrustworthiness of this agency. When I complained to them, they stated that it says in their policy that they are allowed to do this. It's unethical and unacceptable and there are absolutely no consequences or accountability on their part!
