Get A BambuLab Instead, It'll Save You More In The Long Run

I genuinely don't understand why people are obsessed with the ender printers. I currently own a K1 Max. Given that you’d think “Oh, they invested more into it so it must be better than the popular Ender 3.” Well what if I told you it isn’t worth a damn. My friend and I got the K1 Max around the same time. After the first month of owning it, we’ve both had nothing but constant issues since. The bed warps, making it so you either have to: replace the build plate or buy special springs. My friend and I went the springs route. Doing this though, now means you have to go out of your way to root the printer and get a feature called “screws tilt calculate.” Which will measure the distance on the build plates screws and tell you have much you need to turn them. It would be fine if you know, it didn’t take anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour to get it right. The only way of knowing is by wasting material on a test print that odds are, won’t stick to the bed. The biggest issue that we had is the constant jamming. One of us would always be jammed, the last time we both had our printers running at the same time was back in May of 2024 when I first bought it on the third. If your hot end gets stuck while cleaning then that causes even more of a headache as the outside of the hot end has a fragile ceramic cylinder that has the wires connected to it. Giving you limited options to grab onto. Did I mention if you order a new one on amazon its $50+. Thankfully I was patient enough to order a $5 one off of AliExpress, although it took two weeks, it beats giving them $50 everytime it breaks. I’ve ruined three in total due to jamming. The slicer is awful, it looks appealing at first but lately I’ve noticed the most absolute random and horrible print lines it generates for supports. Which now makes sense to me as to why they kept failing on me. So now I’ve switched to cura where I’m getting better results, but still not perfect because keep in mind, it is still a Creality printer I am using. They clearly don’t test their printers and if they do, they don’t care about fixing any of the known issues. There have been so many days where I’ve been moments away from grabbing my bat and beating the hell out of it. The only thing stopping me is the glass I don’t want to clean up afterwards. Creality is a terrible company, you’re better off with BambuLabs as that is a company that actually cares about quality, and will give you what you paid for. They actually take the time to test and fix issues before even releasing the printer. Rather than relying on the community to do their jobs for them, unlike good for nothing Creality. So save yourself the trouble and spend a little extra on a Bambu printer and you will not be disappointed.
