HOUSE OF CARDS: Don’t Meet Delivery Commitments. Don’t care.
Three months into waiting for my couch which I paid for up front and am now past the long end of target delivery window. I sent a message asking when it would ship and they told me that they would not be making their commitment of the delivery window due to production issues. That my couch was still in the process of being made. That’s right! Three months later and the couch is still being made. When I asked for them to make a time bound commitment as to when I could expect the couch, they told me that they would not be able to provide one. They literally are taking ZERO accountability for their commitments. And it’s like, listen, we have a contract: I pay you for a couch and you deliver it in the committed time frame. Blowing past your commitment, not communicating that to me directly upfront, and refusing to provide a revised delivery time is COMPLETELY egregious. I have subsequently been doing research on this company and found that this is a completely common issue. The company literally doubles and triples lead times for delivery. They start with exponentially longer lead time than their competitors of three months and eventually get to delivering it between six and nine months. Given the consistency of these issues, clearly the company is not running appropriately. This backlog is due to mismanagement and, most likely, not having enough money to purchase the supplies that they need to produce the furniture for paid orders. Eventually, it’s going to culminate in a complete collapse resulting in everybody whose orders are underway being subject the bankruptcy claims line up. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY.
