They sent me a new lock in a timely manner .👍 Also the tech guy explained how to lower the maximum speed. 12 mph is the lowest but I asked anyway to make it 9 mph for my wife. No. Just 12 mph. So I looked up the bike online and found out that the assists levels power and torque are cut proportionately. Exactly what we needed !👍 Works perfectly. Does 11.6 in turbo and 9 the next lower assist 😃. My wife's cruising speed 😂. So happy with the bike. The lock set was reasonable and well made.I have done mechanical work for over 50 years so I slowly, carefully drilled out the old lock with a smaller then larger drill bit. Tough drilling. But finally got to the release mechanism. Still hard to get the battery out. But easy now with the new lock👍. Also I changed the complete switch with the battery connector. Because I noticed the old battery plug in had been hot ! Plus the new one had a extra ground. So better. Quite a pain to pull the new wires through the frame to the bottom and reconnect. But glad I did because the bike works perfectly. Will keep a eye on the battery connectors for maintenance 👍 Remember that lowering the max speed also lowers the pas speeds and lowers the torque. So slower and the power delivery is slower ! Great for slower or older riders 😁.
