Defective Product and Disgraceful Customer Service A Total Scam
I ordered a product that was defective from the start—the battery drained even when the device was turned off. At first, I thought it wasn’t a big deal. However, the issue worsened, and now the device won’t turn on at all. When I contacted customer service, they sent me a guide to reset the SD card, reinstall the system, and upload a video of the issue to YouTube. After doing all that, the problem persisted. They then asked for another video, this time requiring me to open the device myself, inspect it, and film the reaction when plugged in. Once I complied, they informed me that I needed to order a new motherboard and replace it myself—at my own expense. This company, Anbernic, is a complete scam. The product had less than 20 hours of use, and their response to a clear manufacturing defect is to push the burden onto the customer. If you have an issue with their product and, unfortunately, take too long to report it (even if the defect existed from the start), you’re completely on your own. Do not waste your time or money on this company.
